Ministry of Finance Announces Federal Decree-Law of 2023 Regarding Federal Government Procurement.

Law Provisions:

Applicable to all procurement, contracting activities and procedures within federal entities and autonomous federal entities, that are established to carry out specific government responsibilities.

Standardise the governance of procurement processes, including the roles and responsibilities of federal entities, councils, committees, and relevant organisational departments.

Objectives of the Law:

* Define the principles, controls & standards for government entities’ procurement operations
* Enhance & guide procurement processes within federal government entities
* Activate digital procurement systems
* Implement world-class policies & practices at all stages of the procurement process
* Ensure equality & fairness among participating suppliers
* Enhance integrity, trust, transparency & competitiveness in all procurement procedures.
